A monastery builds in the mountain top of Mt. Zion, overlooking the natural panoramic view surrounded by valleys, plains and mountain ranges that enhances spiritual desire to be in communion with the Creator. It is truly a place fit, really conducive for prayer, for meditation, for contemplation and giving thanks to God for all the graces and blessings he has bestowed upon us by merely in touch with the nature, the calmness of the deep blue sea. Some said, they will forget their problem for a while if they will stay in this place and experience God’s presence in their life. “Jesus went up to the mountain to pray (Mk. 6:46)”.
After a couple of months God send us three young women who are willing to serve God and to commit themselves for the Church to continue praying for its mission.
They want to enter to become an Augustinian Contemplative Nun, Iries Surigao, 24 years old from Matlang, Isabel, Leyte; Marivic Clemente, 21 years old from Curva, Ormoc City; Gleenis Brion, 19 years old from Isabel, Leyte. Last June 19, 2011 they took their novitiate stage of formation and we considered them as pioneers in
this monastery. “I have called you by name, you are mine. (Is. 43)”.
July 12, 2010, the construction of the phase 11 building, the chapel and the parlatorio or visiting room took place.
